OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove won’t start, be sure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on, it means a different part will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be an surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t produce heat won’t do much good. An oven doesn’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner will not fire up when an element breaks or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to repair these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control panel on a stove is broken when the timer or program settings aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to fix control panels for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen are able to diagnose the cause of the problem and then repair it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is that an igniter glows but it won’t light. The reason this occurs is from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to find out why the door won’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can resolve the issue.
